Collaboration Opportunities

The Nagel Institute typically collaborates with scholars through partner-funded RFPs. If there are active RFP opportunities, information can be found under “Grant Opportunities” on our website.

Beyond RFPs, the Nagel Institute invites scholars to pitch ideas and collaboration opportunities that align with the institute’s aims. When appropriate, the Nagel Institute can provide guidance on approaches to partnership building and the possibility of approaching an outside funding agency as a part of a collaborative project. Areas of Interest

We have a specific interest in fostering the emergence and growth of grounded theology worldwide. By this, we mean we are dedicated to indigenous, bottom-up theology that takes cognisance of the empirical realities of a local context.

We are keen to support interdisciplinary approaches where theologians are prepared to engage appropriate social-scieintific approaches. Consider our EAR RFP as an example for Africa. We would like to help foster similar approaches in other parts of the world.
